Marconi Automotive Museum’s History and Vision
Dick Marconi has always had a great enthusiasm for cars. Throughout his working life, Mr. Marconi developed a desire to “earn, learn, and return”. It was this desire that led him to become the founder of the Marconi Auto Museum and donate his impressive collection of cars to his cause. Indeed, the Marconi Automotive Museum in Irvine, CA, is a great stop for anyone with an interest in high-performance street cars and race cars (a great many of which are on display in the auto museum). The museum is open every weekday, barring days when a private event has been booked. A self-guided tour will range from 30 to 90 minutes, and is taken at your own pace.
While you are visiting the Marconi Automotive Museum (the premier auto museum in Irvine), you will see a variety Lamborghinis, Ferraris and American muscle cars. All of them are rare, and some of them are one of a kind. One cannot talk about the museum without also discussing The Marconi Foundation for Kids. One of Mr. Marconi’s goals is to raise $1 million per year for charity. Through The Marconi Foundation for Kids, Mr. Marconi is able to use the museum for charitable events and give back to at-risk children in the community they are a part of.
The museum is a great place to hold all sorts of events, social or corporate. It can even be a venue for your wedding! Additionally, high quality fundraising events such as boxing matches and silent auctions have been known to be held on the premises, to great success. There is no shortage of awe-inspiring vehicles in the Marconi collection. While you are taking in the sights and admiring the rare and exotic cars, you can feel good in the knowledge that your contributions to the museum itself are being spent on excellent causes.
